The $ME eligibility checker is now live.
This blog shares
- the principles of how allocation was determined
- summary of how to check your eligibility
This experience was built by Magic Eden for the ME Foundation and all tech support questions should be directed towards Magic Eden. Please note that all allocations are final.
Principles behind $ME allocation:
The consumer app token powering the onchain economy, $ME, is designed to reward real onchain users across SOL, BTC, and EVM.
Below are the following principles determining the $ME allocation across all wallets:
- Organic users: organic usage of the protocols is a critical part of the allocation design. The more a wallet emulates a real user, the more likely they are to be rewarded. Signs of inorganic trading have been detected
- Cross chain activity: ME Foundation helps to govern cross chain trading, minting, and wallet related protocols across SOL, BTC & EVM. That means users who have used products including but not limited to the following will be rewarded:
- NFT trading across chains
- NFT launchpad mints across chains
- Cross chain token swaps in Magic Eden Wallet
- Runes trading
- Lucky Buy
Based on a wallet’s organic cross chain activity, the wallet’s Rewards tier will be calculated. The eligibility checker for that wallet will reveal its $ME allocation and provide some stats including whether it received a bonus for activities like Launchpad and wallet.
- Loyalty: Continuous usage of the protocols will impact a user’s $ME allocation. OGs who have continuously used the platform over time will see if they have been recognized as an OG.
How are My Rewards Tier and Bonuses Calculated?
Rewards tiers and Bonuses reflect the highest achievements from any single wallet from all of your connected wallets. Think of it as a bragging right about the top stats from any of your wallets.
If you had 3 wallets and 1 wallet had lots of Launchpad activity, another wallet had lots of Wallet activity, and another wallet had been trading for a long time, the overall Allocation card will show the top stats from each of these wallets.
The Reward tier reflects the highest Rewards tier out of all your linked wallets.
In other words, if a user had 20 wallets and transacted a little on each wallet, they could have a higher overall allocation spread across many wallets but their Rewards tier might appear lower because there isn't as much trade volume in each wallet.
Conversely, if a user has 3 wallets and transacted more in each wallet, they could have a high Rewards tier but their overall $ME allocation may be lower because their total trade volume across those 3 wallets were less than someone who transacted a lot more over a higher number of wallets.
In general, the number people should be paying the most attention to is their overall allocation number. The statistics below this number are more illustrative to show high levels of activity across your wallets.
Instructions on how to link your wallets and check eligibility for $ME:
In short, users will need to download Magic Eden’s mobile app and visit mefoundation.com and link their wallets. After linking their wallets across chains and providers, they can check their total $ME allocation.
Please see detailed instructions on how to access the eligibility checker and link your wallets in this Magic Eden Help Center article.
Please make sure you link all your wallets before TGE (on December 10) in order to have a seamless mobile claim experience on the day of TGE. Once all your wallets are linked, on TGE day all you will need to do is scan a QR code and complete the claim in Magic Eden’s mobile app.

I’m having trouble linking. Where do I go?
Please check out the help center article here (LINK HCA) and if you still have questions, please visit help.magiceden.io.
Can I change my $ME allocation?
No. All allocations are final and cannot be adjusted.
Why does my minting wallet have no allocation?
Launchpad usage is considered as a bonus to the wallet secondary activity, if the wallet has no diamond balance it was not eligible for allocation based solely on launchpad.
I used the protocols in the early days, why am I not an OG?
The Active OG status accounts for addresses that first used the protocols in the early days and then continued to use them on a frequent basis up until now. This means if your address has a long period of absence it wasn’t included.
I did many swaps on Magic Eden Wallet but I have no allocation?
Wallet usage is considered as a bonus to the wallet secondary activity, if the wallet has no trading balance it was not eligible for allocation based solely on wallet usage.
